The rules that keep Ostazi fair and safe for everyone.

By using Ostazi, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all users including students, tutors, and visitors.
1. Account Terms
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create a student account
- Users under 18 must have parental consent
- Tutors must be at least 18 years old
- You must provide accurate information when registering
Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining your password security
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
- One account per person - no shared or duplicate accounts
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
2. Tutor Requirements
Verification
- All tutors must complete identity verification with valid government ID
- Qualifications and experience must be accurately represented
- Tutors must maintain professional conduct at all times
- False information may result in permanent account removal
Session Standards
- Arrive on time for all scheduled sessions
- Provide quality instruction as advertised
- Respond to student messages within 24 hours
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with students
3. Credits & Payments
Credit System
- Credits are purchased in Egyptian Pounds (EGP)
- Credits never expire and are non-transferable
- Credits are only deducted when a tutor confirms your booking
- If the tutor declines or doesn't respond within 24 hours, no credits are charged
Refunds
- Full refund if a tutor rejects or cancels your booking
- Full refund for technical issues that prevent the session
- Partial refunds may apply for early session termination
- No refunds for completed sessions (contact support for disputes)
Tutor Payouts
- Tutors can withdraw earnings to their wallet or InstaPay account
- All payouts are processed within 24 hours
- Platform fee is deducted from each completed session
- Contact support@ostazi.net for payout issues
4. Booking & Cancellation
Booking Process
- Select a tutor and available time slot
- Your credits are NOT deducted until the tutor confirms
- Tutor has 24 hours to accept or propose alternatives
- Credits are only charged once the tutor confirms your booking
Cancellation Policy
- Students: Can ONLY cancel bookings that are still pending (before tutor confirms)
- Students: Once a tutor confirms, the booking CANNOT be cancelled
- Tutors: Can REJECT a booking request before accepting
- Tutors: CANNOT cancel once they confirm a booking
- For any disputes or issues with confirmed sessions, email support@ostazi.net promptly
Rescheduling
- Request rescheduling through the chat with your tutor
- Both parties must agree to the new time
- Free rescheduling if requested 24+ hours in advance
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users Must Not
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users
- Share inappropriate content or use offensive language
- Attempt to circumvent the platform for direct payments
- Misrepresent qualifications, identity, or intentions
- Spam, scam, or engage in fraudulent activity
- Violate any applicable Egyptian laws
Content Standards
- All content must be appropriate for educational purposes
- No sharing of copyrighted material without permission
- Profile photos must be appropriate and clearly show your face
- Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences
6. Disputes & Liability
Dispute Resolution
- Contact support within 48 hours of any issue
- Provide evidence (screenshots, messages) for review
- We will investigate and respond within 24-48 hours
- Our decision on disputes is final
Limitation of Liability
- Ostazi connects students and tutors but does not guarantee outcomes
- We are not responsible for the quality of individual tutoring sessions
- Maximum liability is limited to credits paid for the disputed session
- We are not liable for indirect damages or lost opportunities
Additional Terms
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Egyptian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
