Tutors set their own rates based on the subject, level and experience they bring. Rather than relying on an average that may not fit your needs, compare current prices on tutor profiles and use the browse price filter. Compare the same subject, duration and lesson format to make a useful decision.

Help with the basics is different from specialist exam preparation. Check the price listed for the subject you need and ask about the tutor’s experience with your curriculum and goal.
Lesson duration
The hourly rate and session length together determine the lesson cost. Review the booking summary rather than assuming every available slot is a full hour.
Online or in person
Check the lesson formats your tutor offers. For in-person lessons, agree on the location and travel arrangements; for online lessons, confirm where you will meet.
From top-up to lesson. Every step explained.
Credits are the balance you use to book lessons on Ostazi. Adding money and requesting a lesson are separate steps: pay for a top-up and its fee, then use the credited balance for bookings.
Choose your credit amount
Check the lesson price first, then choose a suitable top-up. The minimum is 100 EGP in credits and the maximum is 50,000 EGP per request. You do not need to choose a subscription or pay for a recurring plan.
Review the total and pay
A 14% platform fee is added to the requested credit amount. The recharge page shows your credits, fee and total before payment. Follow the instructions for your chosen payment method and track the transaction in your account.
Request your lesson
Once credits are added, choose your tutor and time and send a booking request. The tutor has 24 hours to respond. Sending the request does not itself deduct credits; the deduction happens after the tutor accepts.
Use your balance to book
A credit booking deducts the stated lesson cost. The platform fee was paid when you topped up and is not added again to that credit booking. If a request is declined or expires without a response, you are not charged for that request.
A student account and sign-in are required to top up.

Transfer & reviewFollow the transfer details shown on your recharge page and enter the requested sender information accurately. Credits are added after the transfer is reviewed and approved, not simply when the request is created.
Card payment
Through KashierWhen the card option is available, you will continue to Kashier’s payment page to complete the transaction. Afterwards, check the status in your credit history. Wait for the payment confirmation and updated balance before relying on the top-up.
Use the payment instructions inside your account and contact support if the result is not what you expected. Never send card details in a message.

A request is still pending
If the tutor declines or does not respond within the response window, credits are not deducted for the lesson. Check the request status in your bookings before making another request.
You need to cancel a confirmed lesson
Read the cancellation policy and booking details first. Refund eligibility depends on the booking status, timing and circumstances. Do not assume that every cancellation automatically qualifies for a refund.
A payment or balance needs attention
Check your credit history and payment status, then contact support with the transaction reference if you need help. A lesson credit refund and a top-up refund to your payment method are different processes.

Tutors set their own rates; there is no single price for every subject or level. Browse your subject, use the price filter, and review the tutor’s profile, session duration and booking summary. Compare current listed prices rather than an old average or an estimate for a different subject.
Is there a fee when I add credits?
Yes. A 14% platform fee is added to the credit amount you request. For example, 100 EGP in credits has a 14 EGP fee, making the payment 114 EGP. Your balance increases by 100 EGP. The calculator above shows the same breakdown for other amounts.
Do I pay the fee again when booking?
In the current credit-booking flow, the platform fee is paid at recharge. The booking itself uses credits equal to the lesson cost, without adding another platform or processing fee to that credit booking. Always review the booking summary to confirm the requested amount and duration.
What is the minimum credit top-up?
The minimum is 100 EGP in credits and the maximum is 50,000 EGP per request, before the recharge fee is added. These are account top-up limits, not minimum or maximum lesson prices. The lesson cost depends on your tutor and booking details.
Do credits expire or require a monthly subscription?
Credits do not expire, and students do not have a recurring monthly subscription. Use your available balance to book when you need a lesson. No subscription does not mean no fees: the credit recharge fee is shown separately before you pay.
When are credits deducted for a lesson?
Credits are deducted after the tutor accepts your booking request, not just because you sent it. You need enough balance to book, and the tutor has 24 hours to respond. If they decline or the request expires without a response, you are not charged for that request. Check your booking status before the lesson.
Are top-ups added instantly?
Timing depends on the payment method and transaction status. InstaPay transfers require review and approval. Card payments are processed through Kashier when that option is available. Check your credit history and confirmation in your account, and contact support if you paid but the status is unclear.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Read the cancellation terms that apply to your booking, because the outcome varies with status and timing. A refund of lesson credits is also different from returning a top-up payment to a bank account or card. For a billing issue or refund request, contact support with the details and transaction reference.
